Qrious makes a page for the name you hand out. Two kinds of people meet it: the owner who makes the page, and the visitor who opens it. This explains what we keep about each, in plain words.

Who we are

Qrious is run from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Write to us about anything on this page through our Help page at qrious.ae/help, which carries our support address.

If you open a Qrious page

What the page records

When you open a page, our server records a visit:

  • which page, and when;
  • the kind of device, operating system and browser, read from what your browser says about itself;
  • the country your connection comes from — never your city, which we don't receive;
  • the website that sent you, if there was one, or whether you scanned a QR code or tapped an NFC card;
  • a daily visitor code, worked out from your IP address and browser, that changes at midnight UTC. It is how we count a visitor once a day; it is not a way of hiding who you are. Your IP address itself is never stored.

While the page is open it also notes what you tap (a button, a link, a section), how far you scroll and how long the page is on screen. These are tied together by a random number made when the page loads. Automated bots are recorded as bots.

What the page does not do

  • No advertising or tracking cookies, and no consent banner, because there is nothing that needs one.
  • Nothing loads from anyone else on its own. A video loads from its host only when you tap play.
  • No fingerprinting, no recording of your session, no following you from one page or site to another.

The page uses two strictly necessary cookies, listed with everything else on the cookies page.

Whether you come back

Outside the EU, the EEA and the UK, your browser keeps a small note for each page: the day you first opened it, how many days you have opened it, and the last day. The note stays on your device; the page tells us only “first visit”, “2–3” or “4 or more”. Nothing is written at all in the EU, the EEA or the UK, when we can't tell your country, or when your browser asks not to be tracked.

If you leave your details

Some pages invite you to leave your details for the owner, or to ask for a meeting. You give your name and mobile number, and whatever else that owner asks for: email, company, job title, a note, and for a meeting the day and part of the day you prefer, your time zone and what you'd like to talk about. Your details are saved as soon as your name is entered, so the owner may see an unfinished entry if you stop part-way.

Only the owner of that page can read them. People at Qrious can see how many exist, never what they say — the database enforces that, not just the screen. The owner may keep notes about you and, on a plan that includes it, download their list. If the owner has chosen to, they get an email saying you left your details. If you gave the same number or email to the same page within 24 hours, the entries are joined into one.

Where you met, if you choose to add it

After you send your details, the page offers a button: Add where we met. Nothing asks for your location unless you tap it, and saying no changes nothing else. If you tap it, your phone asks you first, then shares its location once. We keep it rounded to about 100 metres, with how sure your phone was and the name of the nearest town, worked out from our own list of towns — your location is not sent to anyone else to look it up. (The town names come from GeoNames, geonames.org, under the CC BY 4.0 licence.)

It is kept with your details and seen by the same people: the owner of the page, and on a company's page also the company's admins and that person's manager. People at Qrious cannot read it.

If you have an account

  • Your name, email address and password (stored scrambled by our sign-in provider), or your Google sign-in if you use it.
  • What you put on your page: details, photos, logos, sections and files.
  • Your plan, and any changes made to your account by our staff, which are logged.
  • If you request printed cards: the delivery name, address, country and phone number. Only you and the Qrious staff handling the order see them.
  • Your page's numbers, built from the visit records above.
  • Which emails about your page you want: new leads, meeting requests and card orders. Each can be switched off.

Signing in keeps a session in your browser so you stay signed in.

How long things are kept

  • Individual visit records: 90 days, then deleted. Daily totals stay, and they hold no visitor codes.
  • An account you delete yourself: removed at once, with its page, leads, card orders and files. Invoices are kept, no longer linked to the account.

If you ask Qrious to write your first draft

Your dashboard can write a first draft of your page from text you paste, or from a CV you choose to open. It happens only when you ask for it, and you are asked every single time — it is not a setting that stays on.

  • The file never leaves your device. A PDF or Word document is turned into text in your own browser, and you can read that text before anything is sent. We never receive the file, so there is nothing for us to keep, and nothing for us to delete.
  • The text you approve, and the name on your account, are sent to the AI provider listed below, so that it can write the draft.
  • We keep no copy of it once the draft comes back.
  • What we record is that a draft was made, and how many characters went into it — never the words themselves.
  • Nothing is published.
  • None of this touches your public page: no script, no request and no cookie. It happens in your dashboard, behind your sign-in.

Who receives it, as of 27 September 2026:

  • Lovable — its AI gateway receives the text from our server.
  • OpenAI — the gateway runs the text through GPT-6 Astra, a model made by OpenAI, to write the draft.

If this changes, this list changes with it, and so does its date.

We never fetch anything about you from LinkedIn or anywhere else, and there is nowhere to give us a profile address for us to go and read. Everything a draft is written from is something you handed over.

Who helps us run it

The site, its database, sign-in and file storage run on Lovable Cloud, which uses Supabase and Cloudflare. If you sign in with Google, Google is involved in that sign-in. We don't sell information and we don't share it for advertising.

A copy, a correction or deletion

If you have an account, Settings in your dashboard lets you change your details, download everything we hold about your account as one file, and delete your account. For anything else, see Help. If you left your details on someone's page, ask that person. If you can't reach them, ask us and we'll pass it on.

Which law applies, and which authority you can complain to, is being confirmed with our legal advisers before launch. It will be named here. Until it is, write to us through our Help page and we will tell you where to take a complaint — and nothing here takes away a right you have under the law that applies where you live.
